When I heard that the city was paying “sharp shooters” over $10,000 a year to kill female deer (does) in an effort to reduce the population , as an outdoorsman I questioned the practice. Upon hearing reports that they were also shooting trophy bucks (male deer) for sport I helped get the practice immediately discontinued, thus protecting both the wildlife and tax payer dollars.
